Wendy
Recio
Wendy ran
track at Knoch High School where she broke the record
for the 800 and helped break the record for the 2 mile relay.
After
that she ran
on and off through college and life until she had a family
and put running on the back burner. Like many, the pounds
packed on
and she thought she would never run again. However in
September of
2006 she underwent gastric bypass surgery and slowly began to run again
when her weight got down to a manageable level. She ran close
to 25
races in 2007 and in May of 2008 ran her first marathon: The
Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon in which her time qualified her for the
Boston Marathon. For health reasons she did not run Boston in
2009 but
hopes to run it in
2010. In any event, she's happy to be back
to
running and amazed at the wonderful people in the Western PA running
community! Wendy also works at the Butler YMCA and you might
see her
at local races, not running, but timing for Miles of Smiles Timing
Service.

Lazlo
Lazlo is a Black English Labrador Retriever who lives with the Doyle's.
He has helped Ed keep in shape and prepare for the race season on many
occasions. Lately, he has mostly enjoyed playing tennis or frisbee in
his back yard to keep in shape. He works at the store as Vice President
of Customer Relations. He usually works weekdays until 5:00pm, but that
sometimes changes. If you want to be sure that you'll see Lazlo during
your visit to the
store, call or email Ed ahead of time and he'll make
sure he's there. **For those of you that may be nervous around dogs, he
is about as gentle as they come. He may bark a little, but he really
just wants to play and give kisses. If you are still nervous though, he
has a bed in the back room where he can take a nap during your visit.
